Caroline Bentley, MA, LMFT

Caroline is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20+ years of experience in the behavioral health field. Throughout her career, she has worked in diverse settings, including inpatient treatment, private practice, intensive outpatient services, and community mental health. Caroline possesses extensive clinical training and expertise in treating both mental health and substance use disorders. She takes a holistic, evidence-based, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, emphasizing a harm reduction model that meets clients where they are on their unique paths to recovery and wellness.
Melissa Bergen, LMFT

Melissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive leadership and clinical experience. She has served as Clinical Director of a nonprofit counseling agency, Program Director and Clinical Supervisor in a residential and outpatient eating disorder treatment program, and owner of a successful private practice. Across all settings, she has remained dedicated to developing high-quality, ethical, and client-centered systems of care. As a therapist and leader, Melissa brings a trauma-informed, holistic, and deeply compassionate approach. She believes in meeting each client with acceptance, honoring their lived experiences, and fostering a collaborative environment where healing and growth feel possible. Her work is rooted in the belief that recovery is a courageous, transformative journey—and that every person deserves support that empowers them to reclaim their lives with dignity and hope.
Ian Johnson, MD

Dr. Johnson is Board-certified in Family Practice and Obesity Medicine, with Fellowship certifications in Primary Care Psychiatry and Primary Care Pain Management. He is also a Certified Medical Review Officer.
With a distinguished career as a primary care physician, Dr. Johnson is an expert in addiction medicine and the treatment of substance use disorders. He advocates for quality assurance and improvement in primary care delivery and provides expert evaluations for nurses in substance use treatment to the California Board of Registered Nursing. Dr. Johnson is known for his warm, compassionate approach and commitment to holistic, person-centered care.
A proud US military veteran, Dr. Johnson served as an active-duty flight surgeon in the US Air Force and taught combat life support in the US Army Reserves, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Elena Ginn, CMHT

Elena has an associates degree in Business Administration and is a Certified Mental Health Technician. She is a compassionate and empathetic professional, with a strong commitment to supporting individuals in their behavioral health journey. Known for her warm, approachable nature, she excels in creating a safe and supportive environment for clients.
Originally from San Jose and now living in Elk Grove, Elena is an alumni of SagePoint Behavioral Health and continues to be an inspiration to those in recovery, as well as anyone seeking overall health and wellness. Elena is a proud mom, a San Francisco 49ers fan, and an avid nature-lover. In her spare time she also loves cooking, puzzling and anything creative!

Daniella Basin, LMFT graduated from Loma Linda University with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and a certificate in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. Daniella possesses experience working high-acuity clients with co-occurring mental health disorders in a residential treatment setting. Daniella holds a deep passion for supporting individuals in their unique recovery process. Her therapeutic style is grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and change, and she works collaboratively with her clients to help them tap into their own innate wisdom and resources. Daniella’s clinical approach is rooted in safety, trustworthiness, and warmth. Daniella is committed to providing my clients with a safe space to explore their emotions and experiences without judgment.
Amber Laurie, MA, LCSW

Amber’s goal in therapy is to support clients as they embrace their story and practice self-love and acceptance. Reaching out to a therapist can be intimidating, and she strives to create a safe space where clients can identify their goals and make meaningful, values-based changes toward a fulfilling life.
She has experience working with individuals in recovery from eating disorders, substance use, and trauma. Using a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, she helps clients achieve their therapy goals. She is also certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for treating PTSD. Her approach is strength-based, empowering clients to identify their core values and overcome barriers that prevent them from living in alignment with those values. She looks forward to supporting clients on their journey of growth, healing, and bravery.
Isabelle Lambirth, MA, AMFT

Isabelle graduated from Sacramento State with a bachelor’s in psychology in 2022. She is currently a graduate student in the Counseling Education program at Sacramento State. She is seeking to obtain a license in Marriage and Family therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. She previously served as an AM Coordinator / Residential Counselor at the Sacramento Children’s Home STRTP. Isabelle has volunteered at Sutter Health’s Children’s Bereavement Art Group for 6 years and found immense passion in supporting families experiencing grief.
Isabelle was born and raised in Sacramento and has a tremendous passion for supporting her community. She has an extensive background working with non-profit and youth development organizations. She wishes to work more with all populations and experiences.
In her free time, she enjoys spending it outdoors, going on hikes, driving to the beach, camping, and paddleboarding. She finds being outdoors or relaxing and reading a book the perfect way to practice self care and ground herself.”

Morgan graduated from Sacramento State with a bachelor’s in psychology. She currently serves as a volunteer crisis counselor at Crisis Text Line and has experience supporting individuals with eating disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Using a person-centric, strengths-based approach, Morgan is committed to helping individuals recognize and honor what makes them unique. In her free time, she enjoys watching romance movies, playing card games, and spending time with her cats.
Kay Anuluoha, MSW, ACSW

Kay Anuluoha is an Associate Clinical Social Worker. Kay earned her MSW from the USC School of Social Work and received clinical training with the Department of Veterans Affairs,
where she strengthened her trauma-informed and skills-based approach to care.
Kay has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, PTSD, depression, grief, life transitions, ADHD/neurodiversity, and burnout. She brings a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to help clients build stability, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with their values during recovery.
Kay aims to help clients feel more grounded and more like themselves as they move through treatment. She knows it can be hard to start, so she focuses on building trust and clarity early on. Clients work on practical coping skills and values-aligned steps that support real change.
Kay is committed to creating a supportive, inclusive space where clients feel empowered on their healing and growth journey.
Laura Brignone, MSW, LCSW

As both a volunteer and professional, Laura has worked to support neurodivergent youth and young adults since her undergraduate years at Stanford (2010). She’s also worked as a certified domestic violence advocate since pursuing her MSW (2015) and PhD (2020) from U.C. Berkeley. After a foray into social science research (which she still enjoys), she decided to focus on earning her LCSW. She is particularly interested in supporting clients healing from trauma, including those who identify as neurodiverse.
Laura is fluent in Spanish and passionate about accessible and inclusive mental health services. She incorporates art, storytelling, and other elements into her therapeutic practice to support clients as they claim the role of hero in their own journeys.
In her free time, she enjoys playing with her pets (two cats and a dog), reading, traveling, and learning about different spiritual and religious traditions. Her favorite grounding tools involve fair-trade chocolate and emotionally rich insights that can also make her laugh.
